I am currently at my parent’s country home. The old estate (this sounds more fancy than it is) of my late grandparents and the place my great grandpa had is wood working business at. Recently my parents fulfilled on of their bucket lists items and installed a sauna above the old workshop. This weekend it was the first time I finally got to use it.
And while I am waiting for my mom to get ready for another evening at the sauna I figured I share a few images.
And since I’m in the spa mood today I share a few Home Spa Gift Ideas that may be something you’d like to gift to a loved one. They are rather easy to make and most ingredients may already be in your home so also a good last minute gift idea.
Gift Ideas for the Home Spa
Homemade Eucalyptus Scrub
Homemade Coffee Cinnamon Scrub { RECYCLE QUICK TIP #12 }
Homemade Avocado Sugar Scrub
Homemade Vegan Bath Bombs
Last Minute Christmas Present * Vanilla Green Tea
Alright, while I am relaxing in the sauna you tell me: Are you a fan of sauna? Do you have a sauna at home? Do you do spa days at home? Any gift idea for sauna lovers?

Your gift ideas all look great, and I love that your parents added a sauna to their country house. the picture at the top of your post looks so cozy!
I have successfully grown an avocado tree a few times. One I had for years and then it died, which was depressing. I have one in my front yard that I’ve had a long time, I am not sure how old it is. It does not grow avocados though. I have heard that the avocados you buy in stores do not grow into trees that can produce fruit, but I don’t remember why. I should have a tutorial maybe, though it would take a long time because of the sprouting and so on. I’ve had the most luck with putting the pit in the east facing window. Even then, though, not all pits sprout a plant, and of those that do, not all of them survive.
Yes, I’ve heard that too that the store bought avocados might not sprout. Also forgot why.
I’ve tried several times but somehow never really managed anything to show for.
It’s really wonderful having a sauna to use like that. It’s really cozy too and the fire was so nice.
Sometimes my daughter and I do a “spa day,” which usually involves her taking a bath with bath salts and me painting her nails and doing her hair. It’s a fun way to spend time together, though! Having a sauna on the property sounds lovely, and these homemade ideas are excellent!
That sounds like wonderful quality time. I‘ve done home made bath salts but haven’t shared a recipe yet on the blog.
That sounds so lovely and like a perfect break! My daughter loves a spa moment and I’ll definitely look at those links for some Christmas present inspiration!
It was a nice little get away. Let me know if you make some gifts.
Oh, your parents’ country home looks lovely and a sauna is a nice add-on. Your spa gifts are perfect for homemade gift ideas. :)
It was really comfy and the sauna is something they had talked about for 20 years.
